Event Postponed
Unfortunately, due to the forecasted heavy rainfall and strong winds this Saturday, 20th September, we are unable to safely fly the drones. As the safety of our customers is always our top priority, we must postpone the show.
The event will now take place on Monday 22nd September 2025
- •Doors open: 5:00pm
- •Pre-show entertainment, food court, and funfair: open from 5:00pm
- •Drone light show: 8:00–8:25pm
You do not have to do anything, your tickets will remain valid for the new date, and we cannot wait to share this magical evening with you.
We do understand that moving the event to a Monday evening may not work for everyone. As stated at the time of purchase, tickets are non-refundable, however for those unable to attend, we are pleased to offer the option to transfer your tickets to any other Lumina Sky Theatre event across the UK. All customers have been emailed with details on how to transfer.

Space Safari is a captivating narration inspired by an ancient African fable. Depicted through stunning cinematic sound and light, the drone show follows the wanderlust adventures of safari animals as they journey through the cosmos in a tale of courage, love, and self-belief.
With 600 drones lighting up the Newcastle night sky, guests of all ages will be immersed in a story told through a fusion of sight and sound.

⚠️ Important Weather Policy:
Drone shows are highly sensitive to weather. If adverse conditions prevent the event from proceeding as planned, it will be rescheduled at the same venue.
Tickets are non-refundable in the case of rescheduling. Refunds will only be provided if the show cannot go ahead on any of the contingency dates. Ticket holders will be informed via SMS and email.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to follow all safety guidelines and accept the possibility of event rescheduling.
