Countdown To Christmas - Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The “Countdown To Christmas” Competition (“the Competition”) is a giveaway organised by Arena Racing Company at each Racecourse it owns and operates (each a “Promoter”). The Competition is open to UK and Irish residents only, who are aged 18 years and over.
2. Employees/personnel of Arena Racing Company and its companies are not eligible to enter the Competition.
3. The Competition will run from 14 December 2024 to 23 December 2024 (each a “Competition Day”).
4. To enter the Competition the entrants must either:
   1. On the days between 15 December 2024 and 22 December 2024, like and comment on the Racecourse’s Facebook page; or
   2. On 14 December 2024 and 23 December 2024, click the link provided by each Racecourse to their website that will redirect them to a form, where they shall insert their name and email address,
   3. (each an “Entry”).
5. Entries will close at 23:59 GMT on Monday 23 December 2024.
6. Only one Entry is permitted per person per day and per Racecourse and no more than four entries per household per day or per Racecourse. In the event of a household submitting more than four Entries per day or per Racecourse, ALL entries from that household will be void. A winner (the “Winner”) will be selected by random from each day’s valid Entries submitted either on social media or on the website before the closing date and time. Each Competition Day, one Winner will be selected per Racecourse.
7. Incomplete entries will be void.
8. A prize (each a “Prize”) per Competition Day will be attributed to the relevant Winner, to be selected at random from all Entries for such Competition Day. Winners will be notified on or before 30 December 2024 and given details of how to claim their Prize. If a Winner does not respond to the relevant Promoter within 24 hours of being notified, then the Winner’s Prize will be forfeited. The Winner whose Prize has been forfeited is not entitled to payment or compensation of any kind.
9. Winners will be notified by email to the email address provided when submitting their Entry if the entry was submitted for the Competition Days on 14 and 23 December 2024. For the Competition Days between 15 and 22 December 2024, the Promoters will update their post announcing the Competition with the Winner and will notify the Winner via a private message from its official social media page, referring to an official Promoter email address with instructions to claim the Prize, as per paragraph 8. Please be advised the Promoters will not ask for personal information via any social media and any contact via social media shall be done so via a Promoter’s verified and official social media profile. Entrants are advised to contact the Promoter by email or telephone if uncertain the contact made was official.
10. The Prize list is as follows:
    1. For entrants who participate on the Competition on 14 December 2024, one £1,000 gift voucher for one person will be attributed. This is a sole Prize for all participant Promoters;
    2. For entrants who participate on the Competition on the days between 15 December 2024 and 22 December 2024, one or two pairs of tickets for a fixture or an event at the selected Racecourse will be attributed to a Winner, such fixture or event determined by the Promoter and informed to the Winner. One Winner shall be selected per Promoter;
    3. For entrants who participate on the Competition on 23 December 2024, one Dual Annual Membership (or equivalent) to a Racecourse will be attributed. One Winner shall be selected per Promoter. 
11. The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-endorsable and not redeemable for cash or other prizes. Arena Racing Company retains the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original Prize offered is not available.
12. Arena Racing Company shall not be responsible for lost or misdirected messages, unavailable network connections, failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt or entrants ability to participate in the Competition or if any racing or any other event applicable to the Competition is cancelled for any reason or any circumstances affecting a Winner’s ability to access or use their Prize or for any reasons of Force Majeure.
    1. * "Event of Force Majeure" means:
    2. a fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake or other similar geological or metrological event or condition or Act of God, national emergency, diseases, epidemic, pandemic, war, act of terrorism, riot or criminal act or damage, strike, lockout or other industrial action not involving ARC employees (to the extent such failure is beyond the reasonable control of ARC) or any other event beyond the control of ARC. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that any disruption caused by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) or similar diseases (such as the temporary or permanent closure of the venues) shall constitute an Event of Force Majeure.
13. The entrant consents to the use of their name for advertising or publicity purposes without additional compensation. The entrant’s personal information will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Policy accessible on https://www.newcastle-racecourse.co.uk/.
14. By entering the Competition, entrants are confirming they are happy to receive marketing information from Arena Racing Company and its Racecourses. Entrants will have the option to opt out of marketing emails.
15. All components of the Prize must be taken together and the Prize must be accepted as offered.
16. The prize winner and their Prize companion(s) must comply with the Terms and Conditions of Entry of the Racecourses involved in the provision of the prize. In particular, the Winner and their Prize companion(s) must comply with all health and safety guidelines and instructions and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
17. Arena Racing Company and each Promoter reserve the right to remove or alter the Competition and its T&Cs for online safety concerns.
18. By entering the Competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the information about the Competition.
19. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
